Here is a quick over view of some important events in 1992. Well what I see to be important.
  • George h.w bush was the president of the united states of america.
  • The Iraq disarmament crisis was in play at this time.
  • The Silance of the lambs won best picture of the year in the 64th academy awards.
  • On April 13 the great Chicago flood took place which was when a damaged utility wall beneath the Chicago river and flooded many areas around the loop.
  • A jury acquits 4 LAPD officers of beating Rodney King which causes the Los Angeles riots with 52 deaths.
  • Jay Leno becomes the new host of the tonight show. ( not really relavent but he is STILL the host of the tonight show its been 18 years!)
  • Rigoberta MenchĂș won the Nobel peace prize for dedicating her life to publicize the things Guatemalan indigenous people went through during and after the Guatemalan civil war.
Thats what I found was going on in the year 1992 which may of influenced what was going on in the art world.
